Heart and Mind

I slowly walk,
Leaves under my feet,
And a cool wind blowing.

I barely notice the name upon each stone,
Or since the last time I visited how much the grass has grown.

Placing the flower beside the name,
And wondering why my life had to change.
Memories flash before my eyes,
Sending sadness and sorrow to my heart and mind.

Although we all miss them down here below,
It is nice to remember they are in Heaven above,
The ones we all knew and loved.

So I wander around,
As I ponder life after death.
Questioning and thinking,
And wondering more.
Letting my heart be free,
And my mind soar.
