I told you I love you,

And you said it back.

I was falling for you,

But I guess you did not feel the same.

You went on pretending,

Instead of telling me the truth.

You should have just told me,

Instead of filling my heart with those lies.

You broke my heart,

But say it is for friendship.

If that were reality,

We never would have begun.

You made my best friend,

Crush me for you.

I asked why you did that,

And your answer was 'cause.

I told you I love you,

And you said it back.
