Winter Wedding

She follows her best friend
Down the aisle

Covered in rose petals

With her father by her side

Each girl carries a bouquet

The little girl ahead of them

Carries a basket

The woman glances

At the faces around

All gazing at her in awe

She stares ahead

Looking at

Her true love

Waiting for her

The snowflakes

Gracefully dancing

And falling in the gentle breeze

Cover everything in sight

She reaches the end of the path

And her father says goodbye

Her love reaches out

And she takes his hand

The time has come

The couple exchanges some words

And finally

She says

I do

He slips the ring on her finger

And the preacher says the words

The couple leans in

For their first kiss as man and wife

The snowflakes dance around them

Landing their own icy kisses

As a congratulations

To the new life together
